I have just worked out that I have miscalculated the number of days I have been on site...maybe I was hoping for more time lol. Today I lifted my 9th skeleton so that I can finish my 8th skeleton, I sometimes hate archaeological relationships as they sometimes don't make much sense. However, as I tend to find with this site I have found an extra articulated foot which could indicate another burial, this one would be between me and a multiple burial of 5 so very likely. As I was looking for the feet to my 9th skeleton I have found a skull. This will be my 10th skeleton if there is a body attached to it but I will find out once I have excavated my 8th.
Whilst excavating my 9th I have found felt which is great :D. However, there is loads holding the right side of the pelvis to the sacrum. My first job tomorrow is to peel it off and stick it in the fridge. That should be fun. Also tomorrow we have the Belgian National (Flemish National!) news crew coming to site. This will be the third news crew on site since I have been there, this is a unique project in Belgium.
The weather today, -0,05 C when I left this morning and was chilly most of the day. However, after lunch I was much warmer not sure if that was the cold drink I had, I was wandering around my burial recording it or because it had actually warmed up.
I have decided today to keep a count on how many waffels I eat a day. This is because today I had one to warm up at tea break and then had one at the station because I wanted to eat one. So today 2, total so far 5.
