Start of my fourth week

Today was the start of my fourth week. It was a rather chilly start to the day in which I had to wear an extra layer and my toes were cold in 3 pairs of socks! Because of a train strike here the buses were buses and I was 30 mins late for work as was most other people. The workers come from Leuven, Antwerpen as well as Mechelen itself. I carried on working on the multiple burial and loads of skulls are appearing underneath the skeletons :S. Once we have lifted these two skeletons then we move else where on the site so the work force can work at the pace of the excavator which I have yet to master. That will come with practice. I worked out today though that I have now completed 3 months field work with 2 different companies in 2 different countries :D

On saturday I went to Ikea near Zaventem so now I have done Ikea in 2 countries :D. After which we went to Steenokkerzeel for coffee, well me and rob had hot chocolate which after watching rob make I also made. You are given warm milk and chocolate chips and then you melt the chocolate yourself to your statisfacation, so being a girl I had all the chocolate in the milk :p We also got advocat and cream in a glass which I also tried and it tasted great :D
For the evening I went into Leuven with Chris and his mates. They showed me some of the sites (a whistle stop tour) before going to the pub, we are in België and as they say when in Rome! or maybe it should be when in België! After a drink in the pub we went to play pool where I also tried some melon shot thing which was nice then we went for pizza at pizza hut!

Government/Council Buildings there are 400 statues on there

The old market area where they had the longest bar in België it has been broken up by some food outlets now!

More of the old market area
