Day 19 on site

Today was yet another cold day on site. This was also Susan's last day on site before she starts her mammoth journey back to Canada via Amsterdam and other places and using a variety of transport!! I finally got my second skeleton lifted out of the grave and did the paperwork to which I got it all right :D I am getting good at working out which my radius and ulna are! I then finally found the yellow of the natural sand. To prove it I took a photo of it!

(the lovely yellow of the natural sand!)

I then started on the skeleton that was cutting into my grave. As a result I only had one leg as the other was chopped off while my grave was being dug. To excavate this skeleton I had to sit in my grave to dig it out! That was a very surreal time!!!

(me sat in the grave to excavate the other!)
We also had Knak magazine come to site and take photos about what was happening there. Not sure if I am in any of the pictures but the guy spoke to me first in Flemish but when we told him I was english we had a nice conversation about archaeology there and back in England! Not only I'm I on tv I am in magazines too. Knak is an intellatual (not sure of spelling!) magazine not a gossip one!
Tomorrow I am off to do more site seeing of Belgiƫ and go to Gent, Sunday I am planning Antwerp.

Waffel Counter: Today:1 (it was cold and also had to get off of 13 waffels!) Total: 14
